Our institution has got a unique feature as no other engineering college In the state and perhaps in the country ,calls itself a research centre as well. Of course there are engineering colleges which do promote active research, among their faculty and students. But in order to live up to our name and with a view to impart greater momentum to R & D, we are now launching a major initiative to make concentrated efforts to reach out to industries all over south India to seek real-life technical problems for iour faculty to work on and find innovative solutions.We are also approaching Governmental Departments, Science &Technology Organisations, Developmental Agencies and Bodies and other funding agencies to mobilize support for sponsored research and consultancy.
