Criteria and Weightages for Admission

It is as per Calicut University norms fixed from time to time. Present criteria for admission is as follows for Private Management Institutes.
Out of total seats 50% is merit quota and 50% is Management Quota.
Management quota is filled up after preparing rank list based on a MAT or any other test approved by University will in advance or the State Government. Based on that MAT / Test score candidates are short listed for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
For merit quota seats the students should qualify the entrance test (Management Apptitute Test) conducted by All India Management Association New Delhi. Institutes invite application for MBA Programme and the candidate should submit his / her MAT Score along with the filled application before the last date for receipt from each year. Based on the MAT Score candidates are short listed for GD and Personal Interview. Atleast twice the number of seats shall be the number of candidates invited for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview(PI).
3. After GD and Personal Interview the students rank list will be prepared on the basis of MAT score, PDS/Plus two, Personal Interview Score and GD score.
Students should pass any degree of the University of Calicut or that
of IGNOU or that of any other university or institute or institutions
recognized by the UGC or AICTE. In all the cases the students should
have pass the degree examination without less that 50% marks in aggregate
(49.99% is not eligible) and relaxation will be given to those candidates
who belongs to SC/ST, OBC and other eligible communities.
